Rachad Atat
Assistant Professor of Computer Science
Dr. Rachad Atat received the Ph.D. (Hons.) degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kansas, USA, the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia, and the B.E. degree (Distinction) in Computer Engineering from the Lebanese American University (LAU), Lebanon. Prior to joining LAU, he served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Assistant Research Scientist at Texas A&M University at Qatar. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at LAU. His research focuses on artificial intelligence, graph learning, and critical infrastructure cybersecurity. He has authored extensively in leading journals and conferences and has participated in nationally and internationally funded research projects in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and networking. In 2026, he received the Faculty Distinguished Achievement Award from the LAU School of Arts and Sciences in recognition of his research contributions.
